Our Shipping and Receiving
area is located in 14-108 Eng. IV. The bay doors are numbers 4, 5 and 6. Most of the packages come in the morning, and they are in your offices and labs in the afternoon of the same day.
We handle gas cylinders, and keep the tracking records of each one in a database. If a cylinder is shipped back,
and if you are still charged for demurrage, you can check with us and we can prove when the cylinder was shipped out of SEAS. Or you can do this yourself by typing cyl
then a space and the cylinder number, room number, or the principal investigator's name. The computer will let you know how long demurrage has been accruing and how much you have paid so far. If you want to see if the cylinder has been sent back, type
cylr then a space and the cylinder number, room number, or the principal investigator's name. IF THE CYLINDER IS NOT PICKED UP WITHIN TWO WEEKS, IT WILL BE SENT BACK TO CENTRAL RECEIVING.
We do not have the space to store cylinders. If you have a package that has to be shipped by truck or by UPS, bring it to 14-108 Eng IV with your Return Goods Memo (RGM)
(click this and print out the form) and we will get it out by the next day. If you have something to go out using one of the Next Day Service carriers
(Fed Express, Airborne, UPS, etc.), those items leave out of 2685 BH.
